Rachelle McCoy
Nominated Supervisor
Rachelle leads Mikayla with a strong commitment to community, inclusion, and child-centred learning. As a not-for-profit centre with deep local roots, Mikayla reinvests all resources back into creating a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment where every child can thrive. Rachelle is focused on maintaining high-quality care while working on upgrades on outdoor play space upgrade. She values strong partnerships with families and encourages parent involvement through the centre’s active Management Committee. Her goal is to ensure Mikayla remains a nurturing place where children feel confident, valued, and inspired to grow.
Teque
Rainbow Room Educator
Teque has been a valued part of the Mikayla team since 2017. She loves the close-knit teamwork between educators, creating a warm and supportive environment for both children and staff. One of her favorite ways to connect with the children is through her love of yoga, which she enjoys sharing during quiet time. Watching little ones grow from the Star Room to the Rainbow Room is incredibly rewarding for her. She finds joy in extending their learning through play, helping them build confidence and curiosity every step of the way.
Hunter
Start Room Educator
Hunter finds joy in working with children, and their smiles brighten her day. She takes a gentle and understanding approach to helping little ones settle in, working closely with parents to create a consistent routine between home and the center. She loves using Storypark to share special milestone moments with families, ensuring they feel connected to their child’s learning journey.
Larissa
Star Room Educator
Larissa joined Mikayla 3 years ago and quickly discovered her passion for early childhood education. Initially focused on working with adults, she found her true calling in nurturing young minds and is now pursuing a Diploma in Early Childhood Education. One of her greatest joys is witnessing children say their first words and seeing their personalities blossom. She loves being part of their daily discoveries and is constantly amazed by how much they learn in a single day.
Antonia
Star Room Educator
Antonia was inspired to become an early childhood educator after having her first child. She wanted to support other children and families by creating a nurturing and meaningful learning environment. With a natural ability to connect with little ones, she builds strong relationships with both children and parents. Each morning, she checks in with families about how their child slept and whether they are teething or have any special needs for the day, ensuring a thoughtful and personalised approach. Coming from a background as a chef, she brings her love of baking and cooking into the centre, making special activities both fun and delicious!
Jane
Star & Rainbow Room Educator
Jane is passionate about supporting children through their developmental milestones and celebrating their achievements. She believes in following the children's lead, allowing them to explore at their own pace while providing encouragement and guidance. With her warm and patient approach, she helps create a safe space where children feel confident to grow, learn, and express themselves.
